@aznboi1398 well, … @aznboi1398 well, dont you have strippers in ur country? all they do is take off their clothes and dance for old pervy americans. If you cant accept others’ cultures, then dont even waste your time watching this video. There are always cultures that hard to understand for foreigners.u should respect others’ culture.
In the western … In the western world before consumer media it was not uncommon for musicians to live in servants’ quarters where they would practice their art by day and perform for their host at dinner or at special occasions. The Geisha is no different in spirit.
yah, i agree with … yah, i agree with you!not everyone can fulfill their dream, some might never achieve any even with al his strength, many artist died in poor. Yet does it matter if u can follow ur dream?i don’t think dream =money, car
@aznboi1398 Well, … @aznboi1398 Well, American singers and dancers have to give up alot as well to follow their dream. Probably not as strict as the japanese, but it’s an art form, and artists have alot of hardships. Sometimes they can’t get enough money or a good house or a nice car, because they really wantt to follow their dream. Sometimes the art form is more important to them than material possesions.
who would want to … who would want to be a geisha? All you do is serve tea and dance to old pervy japanese business men. You cannt even have a real life and have a family or a real paying job with ur own house or car or stuff. Ur just property
@aznboi1398 It’s … @aznboi1398 It’s merely a misconception that Geishas are whores, or otherwise and prostitutes. They are very refined and cultured woman, that train very hard to sing and dance. Geisha is a word that literally means “Performance person” or “entertainer person”. So, no, they aren’t whores.
(MrMastaMark) I … (MrMastaMark) I agree it takes more than discipline.. but alsoCreativity. There are so many talented creative people where I live..yet they lack the discipline to master their craft, It seems like china has recently given the world a demonstration of combining both..again just a personal opinion
there are … there are disciplined people everywhere. & sometimes it’s about more than discipline– just look at the 16 nobel prizes to japan vs 320 to the united states. some argue japan’s lack of creativity & willingness to do things differently is holding it back.
experiencing japan … experiencing japan and living around japanese people are two different things. the way you think is obviously going to be influenced by the culture you live in. so to you, the geisha experience probably doesnt make any sense, but to them it has a very deep meaning.
If only more … If only more Americans had half of her discipline and heart. They would see the strength of humility instead of mocking it. It’s funny how the humbled countries are now rising to power.
