You pick whatever you want and pay based on the size/type of the dish. Usually go to Floating Sushi Boat, 700 Grant, Ave. Price there is fairly reasonable, and decently OK quality sushi. Kids will enjoy that. It is a good walking distance to Union Square, and the family can do some shopping en route there. Also you should try JapanTown. It is a mall with lots of Japanese stores and restaurants. Just going there is fun. It is located at Geary and Laguna.
